THE Senior Special Assistant (SSA)to the Delta State Governor on Media and the Director-General, Connecting with Vulnerable Deltans, Amb. Ese Joshua Emadifie and his team members have presented educational items to people of Okuama, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) Camp in Ewu-Urhobo in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Items presented by Amb. Ese Emadifie are Notebooks, biros, pencils, rulers, footballs, and cartons of assorted biscuits.
Speaking while presenting the items, “We have come here today with what we termed, traditional media representation, to interact with you to table your pains and needs to the governor.
“We have not only come here to present only educational items but to also empowered our women through skills acquisition programme in line with the MORE Agenda of our Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
“We are here to emulate the Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and anything we do here today is reflecting on who the governor is, whatever thing we presented is from him, the empowerment, and notebooks.
“There are some certain things people take for granted and I believe in football career that one day some of these kids here would represent Nigeria and I want to let the governor know that the people are very happy.
“As an aide to the Governor on Media, I have decided to use the traditional media channel and that is why the name of my project is ‘Connecting with Vulnerable DeltansThrough Traditional and Modern Channels’.
“Our objective is go roundthe three senatorial districts to preach the More Agenda, listen to them and give them sense of belonging and hope that the Oborevwori administration is for all.
Receiving the items, the Okuama-Ewu IDPs Camp Chairman, Mr. Abraham Ogbodo said, “I feel so good becausehumanity does not know race, ethnicity, religion and geography.
“When people are in a very tragic circumstances, the whole world ought to rise in unity to get those people out of such circumstances because tragedy is felt the same way across board.
And for people to be coming for our assistance is good, it is something we appreciate but it is just the thing to do as that is actually the command of God.
