THE Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Aniocha North Chapter, Hon. Charles Ochei has appealed to the Delta State Government to provide employment for youths in Aniocha North Local Government Area and as well as provide infrastructural development to rural dwellers.
Hon. Ochei, who made the appeal during the recent town hall meeting held at the Council Secretariat Issele-Uku, said that state governor should prioritize creation of employment opportunities for the youth in the rural areas, stressing that there is urgent need for economic empowerment in the community.
Ochei also pointed out the urgent need for the rehabilitation of the leather factory in Issele-Uku as it is a viable means of job creation for the youths, expressing his deep concern over the deplorable and unusable condition of the Ezi-Ukala-Ebu Road.
He mentioned that the state of the road has been a point of contention, with political opponents using it against him during election campaigns, while emphasizing that improving the road infrastructure would not only enhance accessibility but also foster a sense of belonging among the people of Aniocha North Local Government Area.
