The new Executive Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Chief Anthony Ofoni has stated that he met peace in the Local Government Council and that he will continue peace in the council.
The number one citizen of Uvwie Local Government Area stated this shortly after he was handed over the mantle of leadership of local government council by the Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mrs Juliana Manager, yesterday.
He expressed appreciation to the HPM, Mrs Juliana Manager for holding forth for three months after the expiration of the tenure of the immediate past chairman of the Local Government Council, Hon Ramson Tega Onoyake.
Overwhelmed by the reception accorded him, the new Uvwie Local Government Council boss stated that “ This demonstration of love has gladdened my heart and has given me overwhelming joy and assurance that I will have a wonderful time working with you and the entire staff.
Sincerely, from the depth of my heart, I want to thank the Head of Personnel, Mrs Juliana Manager for holding the reins of administration and ensuring that peace prevail in Uvwie Local Government Area.

While promising to establish a cordial relationship with HPM and other staff of the council, Ofoni promised to take Uvwie Local Government Council to greater heights.
Chief Anthony Ofoni has earlier in his address appreciated Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for giving him the opportunity to serve just as he also thanked Uvwie Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for having their mandate to serve.
