A fresh chapter has commenced for the apex socio-cultural organization of the Igbo ethnic nationality, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in Delta State, following the emergence of a new leadership to pilot its affairs.
This was contained in a letter dated February 4 2025, signed by the state chapter secretary of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mr Sylvester Ndudi and made available to newsmen in Asaba, the state capital.
According to Mr Ndudi, the emergence of the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide in Delta State follows the organization’s recent convention, where they were elected to steer its affairs for the next four years.
‘’The elected officials are: Chief Benjamin Igumbor as President, Chief Pascal Onukwu as Vice President, Mr Sylvester Ndudi as Secretary and Chief Emmanuel Opia as Financial Secretary.
‘’Others include Mr Obi Adikpayah as Treasurer, Mrs Eunice Opia as Woman Leader, Mr Ojudume Emili as Youth Leader, Mrs Ngozi Omelieze as Assistant Secretary, Charles Okechukwu as Publicity Secretary and Mr Pedro Nweke as Assistant Financial Secretary.
‘’The elected local government chairmen (of Ohanaeze Ndigbo) are Augustine Amagoh for Aniocha North, Comrade Gloria Okolie for Aniocha South, Mr Christopher Nwayaliani for Oshimili North, Sir Charles Nwabuzor for Oshimili South, Mr Augustine Ayomath for Ukwuani and Chief Elias Okoye for Ndokwa West.
‘’The rest are Mr Innocent Sholokwu for Ika North East, Mr Philip Ebeyogor for Ika South, and Mrs Gloria Nwabueze for Ndokwa East’’ the statement read.
