FOLLOWING the appointment of Amb. Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu (Iyom), as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National women leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Hon. Chief Dame Rita Daniels Chukwuji (Ochiudo) has congratulated her, describing it as a well-deserved appointment. Daniels conveyed her congratulations to Ambassador Bianca -Ojukwu after her recent swearing-in as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
In the message signed and made available to journalists, Daniels extolled Ambassador Ojukwu as “a distinguished daughter of Ndigbo and a true daughter of the soil, who has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities in public service.
She said, “her extensive background in law, diplomacy, and public service positions led her to uniquely excel in the new ministerial role. As a former Ambassador to Spain, she has showcased her commitment to representing Nigeria on the global stage with dignity and integrity.
The Ohaneze woman leader equally commended President Tinubu for his pan-Nigerian, inclusive leadership in nominating Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu for a ministerial position.
She added her new appointment, being a proof of her excellent individual capabilities and a source of pride for the State, and expressed confidence that her experience and dedication will significantly contribute to the advancement of Nigeria’s foreign relations, fostering stronger ties with other nations.
Daniels said that she was so elated about news of the appointment of Bianca, adding the appointment will undoubtedly appeal to the conscience and sympathy of Ndigbo. ‘’This is not only timely but strategic, taking cognizance of her vast experience in global knowledge national appeal and ability to speak up at all times.
She maintained that the women wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo is solidly behind her.
