THE Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Hon. (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor has congratulated the new executive of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state on their peaceful emergence.
Hon. Uviejitobor, while reacting to the entire process that led to the formation of the new State Exco of the PDP, with Chief Solomon Arenyeka as Chairman, said he was thrilled to see PDP internal democracy in action.
Uviejitobor, a former lawmaker in the state, who represented Udu Constituency for two terms of eight years in the State Assembly, described the development as a significant milestone and berth of a new era in Delta State.
The Commissioner noted that the peaceful emergence of the new state executive was worth celebrating, coming same week with the celebration of the 33 years anniversary of the creation of the state.
“I congratulate our new state party executive on their peaceful emergence! This is a significant milestone for our party, and I’m thrilled to see our party’s internal democracy in action”, he said.
Hon Uviejitobor pointed out that as the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, he remained committed to delivering on the party’s manifesto and the Governor’s vision for the state’s oil and gas sector.
He promised to working closely with the new leadership to ensure the party’s continued success and progress in the state.
