The Executive Director of Projects in the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu has urged the leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to work together to strengthen the party.
He made the call when the executives of the PDP in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State extended a solidarity visit to him at the DESOPADEC corporate headquarters in Warri.
Dr. Okorodudu commended the executives of the party for the visit and said he was filled with joy.
While recounting his political journey, the Director of Projects, attributed his success to the grace of God. He urged the leaders of the party to be diligent, saying that in politics, one must endure. We must work hard to strengthen the party and re-elect Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who has performed so well in infrastructural development and appointed people from Ughelli South to his administration”
According to him, “We have a Governor Sheriff that is hardworking and financially prudent. He is the first Speaker of the State House of Assembly to leave over N530m in the state’s treasury, and as a governor, he has not borrowed a dime, despite landmark projects spread across the state.
“We must all work hard to return the Governor in 2027. The success of PDP Ughelli South should supersede the interests of any individual or group of individuals,” he said.
While pledging to work with stakeholders to ensure that all aggrieved members were brought back to the party, he assured them of his commitment and support whenever the need arose.
Earlier, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli South Local Government Council, Chief Edirin Ojigho congratulated Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu on his appointment as the Executive Director of Projects.
“On behalf of the people of Ughelli South, we want to congratulate you on your appointment. We are proud of you. You have placed Ughelli South in the number one spot. Your time in The Pointer Newspaper as the Chairman is unprecedented. We know you will perform better here in DESOPADEC. We are here to tell you we are solidly behind you, he said.
