- Says Commission shall synergize with LGA on policy implementation
The Executive Director Projects, EDP, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu on Wednesday 29th January, 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Warri South Local Government Council, Hon. Weyimi Isaac Agbateyiniro at his office in Warri Area Council.
Addressing the Chairman, Dr. Okorodudu said DESOPADEC is an interventionist agency saddled with the responsibility of developing the oil bearing and producing areas of Delta State, including Warri South which plays host to the agency’s Head Office and as a major stakeholder in the policy implementation of the Commission.
“As the new Executive Director Projects, DESOPADEC, and as l continue with my visitation to various stakeholders in the oil producing communities, I deem it fit to pay a visit to my friend and to seek for partnership as we forge ahead to develop our communities,” Dr. Okorodudu said.
Speaking further, he said the council should not hesitate to make requests as the Commission will offer whatever assistance is necessary to impact on the council.
“Let it be on record that it was during the time of Dr. Okorodudu as the EDP, DESOPADEC and Hon. Agbateyiniro as Warri South Council Chairman that such a project was executed,” he added.
Responding, Hon. Agbateyiniro commended the EDP, DESOPADEC, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu for the honor done him, for finding it worthy to visit him and extend hands of fellowship to the Council.
“I’m elated to be your host in my office today. As my senior brother and a senior colleague in the PDP family, I congratulate you on your appointment by our Boss, the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“You have been doing well in all the assignments you have been saddled with and I know you started well in DESOPADEC. As Government and agency, we have a lot we are going to do together to elevate the living standards of our people. Thank you for the honor,” he said.
The Executive Assistant, Projects, DESOPADEC, Engr. Tony Okuwe in his vote of thanks appreciated the Chairman, Hon. Agbateyiniro for the warm reception accorded the EDP and his team and prayed for God’s guidance upon him to continue with the good work he is doing in Warri South.
