Okorodudu urges Olomu – Effurun-Otor Political Forum to unite for Oborevwori

The Executive Director of Projects on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has called on Olomu – Effurun-Otor Political Elites Forum to unite and work for the victory of the Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

He gave the appeal today 26th February when a delegation of Olomu – Effurun-Otor Political Elites Forum paid him a courtesy call in DESOPADEC corporate head office in Warri

Chief Okorodudu implored the members of the forum to organize themselves to support Governor Oborevwori’s administration to sustain the ongoing developmental strides across the state.

“In less than two years the Governor has surpassed people’s expectations. Without borrowing, he has performed so well in terms of social and economic infrastructure, human capital development, health care, and education among others.

“He is one of the most underrated leaders, but today even naysayers are becoming disciples”

Dr Okorodudu while commending the group for the grand reception given to him. He expressed satisfaction with the forum’s well-organized structure.

“I am glad I have this group that articulates what relates to the Urhobo nation particularly Olomu – Effurun Otor.”

Chief Okorodudu reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the needs of Olomu communities noting that initiatives such as building a palace and a culvet bridge in Agbazo – Olomu are key on his agenda.

“One of the issues bothering my mind is the building of the palace in Olomu and a bridge in Agbazo-Olomu. The palace is the symbol of every community in Olomu.

“Out of the 15 communities in Olomu, Agbazo – Olomu is the only one not accessible, it needs a bridge to access it”

He further said the items on request will be attended to successively.

In his address, the chairman of the forum, Olorogun Samuel Oghotomo congratulated the Executive Director of Projects on his appointment, saying they are confident that he will deliver on his new appointment.

The chairman presented a proposal of challenges in Olomu – Effurun Otor which includes beddings for health centers, provision of learning desk chairs and tables, and installation of street lights

The highlight of the visit was when the group passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori citing his landmark achievement in less than two years across the state.
