THE Managing Director/CEO of Delta Special Economic Zone, Pastor Godwin Akpovie, yesterday describe the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as a phenomenal administrator.
Pastor Akpovie, while celebrating Sen. Okowa’s 65th birthday anniversary in Asaba, said that July 8 presented a good day and a unique moment to celebrate ‘’a quintessential leader with rare acumen for leadership, whose actions impacted positively humanity.
“ I recall with joy and commendation that the tenure of Okowa as governor of Delta state between 2015 – 2023 marked a great era when the state witnessed remarkable progress in Economic & social infrastructure and human capital development.
“More symbolic was his emergence as the first Anioma son to be elected governor of Delta, a historic feat that promoted equity and brought peace as well as harmony among the five distinct ethnic groups in the state.
“I am extremely glad that even at 65, he is still doing exploits in leadership and touching lives meaningfully.
“I pray God grants him more wisdom to unify the people destiny had placed in his care as a leader.
