Olomu/Effurun-Otor Political Forum Passes Vote Of Confidence On Oborevwori

The Olomu/Effurun-Otor Political Elites Forum has reaffirmed its unwavering support for the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, passing a resounding vote of confidence on him.

The event, held in honour of Olorogun (Dr) Ebenezer Okorodudu, the newly appointed Executive Director of Projects at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), showcased the group’s unity and commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking at the well-attended gathering, the Chairman of the Forum, Olorogun Samuel Oghotomo expressed gratitude to God for preserving their lives and leading them into the New Year.

He praised the forum members for their dedication and teamwork, which contributed significantly to the party’s successes in the 2023 and 2024 elections in Ughelli South Local Government Area.

He noted that the forum remained committed to Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, which seeks to ensure sustainable peace and prosperity across Delta State.

According to the Chairman, the governor’s administration has made significant strides in governance, and the group is resolute in supporting his re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.

“Our forum has always believed in and stood with His Excellency,” he remarked. “From the days of his electioneering campaign to his eventual victory, we have remained steadfast in our commitment. As a group, we pledge to continue working tirelessly to secure an overwhelming victory for the governor and the PDP in 2027.”

The event also celebrated Olorogun Okorodudu, a respected grassroots politician and community leader, for his well-deserved appointment at DESOPADEC. The Chairman lauded Governor Oborevwori for recognizing the contributions of Ughelli South by appointing one of their own to a key position in his administration.

While commending the governor’s efforts, the forum also used the occasion to appeal for more inclusion of their members in government appointments. They noted that since the passing of their leader and patron, Olorogun Sir Taleb Tebite, their access to government opportunities had diminished, and they looked forward to a renewed hand of fellowship to boost their morale.

The forum reiterated its readiness to support Governor Oborevwori’s policies and initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Deltans. They expressed optimism that the governor’s dynamic leadership would further propel Delta State to greater heights in the years ahead.

In a show of unity and gratitude, the forum extended their heartfelt appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his continuous support and recognition of the Olomu/Effurun-Otor.

“Long live Delta State, long live the PDP, and long live the Olomu/Effurun-Otor Political Elites Forum,” the Chairman concluded, drawing resounding applause from the attendees.

The event was marked by camaraderie, shared optimism, and a renewed determination to uphold the principles and vision of the PDP, as the forum positioned itself as a vital partner in the governor’s development agenda and political success.
