Chairman of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Asaba Branch and a National Executive Committee (NEC) member of Professional Women Accountants of Nigeria (PROWAN), Mrs. Victoria Omamerhi-Chukwurah (FCNA) was a part of history, as the South South Zone of PROWAN, the women’s wing of ANAN, made name recently as the best zone in the country, returning from the 29th National Conference of ANAN with the coveted award.
Asaba branch attracted the award to the South South zone just as Chukwurah-Omamerhi who is the National Representative in PROWAN Asaba branch said the award/trophy was handed to PROWAN Asaba Branch for standing out through an outstanding performance, which included turning out in their numbers, among others.
The recognition of the South South zone and spotlight on the Asaba branch was roundly celebrated by members, with felicitations poured on Omarmerhi-Chukwurah and others in the South South for being an inspiration for women accountants in the zone.
Shining brightly among other awardees, Omarmerhi-Chukwurah led ANAN Asaba Branch on an impressive outing, which was the 29th edition of the ANAN conference, held at ThisDay Dome, Central Business District, Abuja with the theme “Advancing Accounting Excellence In A Changing World.”
The accountants besides dwelling extensively on the theme of the national conference, engaged in setting agenda for greater professional practice, as they gathered for the conference from different parts of the country. However, a balance was struck between work and relaxation with highlights such as dinner, PROWAN rainbow picnic event and other forms of social bonding.
