THE Ethiope West Local Government Chairman, Hon. Christian Onogba has charged the newly sworn-in Supervisors of Ethiope West Local Government to be mindful of the MORE Agenda policy of the state government to move the local government forward. The charge was given by the chairman while swearing-in the appointed supervisors as members of the executive committee (EXCO) of Ethiope West Local Government at the NULGE Hall in the Council secretariat in Oghara, headquarters of Ethiope West Local Government Area.
While congratulating the newly sworn-in supervisors, Onogba noted that in addition to the MORE Agenda, the supervisors should know that his administration was determined to ensure that there was great transformation in the locality. The local government boss noted that his administration is also determined to ensure that the security of lives and property of the people is treated with outmost priority as he urged the supervisors to help in ensuring that lives and properties are secured in the LGA.
The supervisors includes, Hon David Onomuodeke as Supervisor for Agric, Hon Wisdom A Gabriel as Supervisor for Environment, Hon Allen Adjoshoke as Supervisor for Finance, Hon Onome Adegor Supervisor forWworks, Hon Omoefe .I. Esah for Education.
Responding on behalf of the supervisors, Hon Allen Adjoshoke promised to work in accordance with the MORE Agenda vision of the state government and to cooperate with the chairman to move the local government higher. The Chairman also inaugurated a committee to help review and to improve the revenue structure of Ethiope West and development strategies for revenue generation in lines with the extant law of the Local Government. The Committee, which the Vice Chairman of the council, Hon Austin Atomre is the Chairman was charged to explore all potential areas of revenue generation to enhance the revenue base of the local government council amongst other tasks to improve the financial status of the local government.
