THE Monday Onyeme Foundation has put machinery in place to present cheques to over 500 students of higher institutions from Delta North senatorial district, who were successful in the 2024 scholarship scheme, after a competitive examination.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Coordinator of the Monday Onyeme Foundation, Mr. Leo Ubuane, made available to newsmen.
It stated in part, “The cheque presentation ceremony for the over 500 successful candidates, for the 2024 Edition of Monday Onyeme Foundation Scholarship, for Undergraduate of Delta North, will hold Saturday, 28th September, 2024
The venue for the presentation is the Main Auditorium, Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba at 12noon prompt.
It further added that guests expected at the event include, Members of the National Assembly, State House of Assembly, State Executive Council, Special Advisers, Local Government Chairmen and a host of others top government functionaries from Delta North and other Senatorial Districts.
The statement directed that all successful candidates were expected to be seated at the auditorium by 11am.
The Scholarship scheme, an aspect of the Monday Onyeme Foundation, is a pet project of the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, involved in humanitarian activity, which has positively impacted many lives in the state.
