Oshimili North Legislative Arm Pass Confidence Vote On Esewezie

IN appreciation of the commitment of the chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area, Hon. Innocent Esewezie to the overall development of communities in the local government area, members of the local gov­ernment Legislative Arm have pass a vote of confidence on him as he clocks 100 days in office.

The confidence vote on Esewezie was passed over the weekend at a plenary presided over by the Leader of the House, Hon. Chris Nwamgbor. The motion to pass a vote of confidence on Esewezie was moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Nwankwo Patrick Ifechukwude.

Prior to moving the motion, Hon. Nwankwo, high­lighted some of the development milestones of the local government Chairman, which includes the rehabilitation of internal roads in Ibusa, the ongoing construction of an ultramodern healthcare center in Okpanam.

Hon. Nwankwo also noted that Hon. Esewezie working in synergy with the security agencies and traditional rulers have been able reduce insecurity in the area, as well as enhanced peaceful coexistence among the people. He pointed out that through his efforts the local government has witnessed a cleaner environment.

According to him, “ I Hon. Nwankwo Patrick Ifechukwude, hereby move a motion for vote of confidence on Hon. Innocent Esewezie, the chairman of Oshimili North Local Government based on his accomplishments and drive to do more through his PUTAIFE MORE Agenda”.

Speaking on the motion, the Leader the House, Hon. Chris Nwamgbor, explained that Hon. Esewezie is the only chairman who in his first tenure ensured the execution of at least one project in the communities that make up the local government. Adding he has shown quality lead­ership with the current construction of an ultramodern healthcare center in Okpanam, in less than three months in office.

Also contributing, Hon. Ugbode Zeal, maintained that the local government chairman did well in his first term and has continued to demonstrate capacity to deliver more development projects. While Hon. Hilary Okobi, enthused that Hon. Esewezie has the interest of the peo­ple at heart and thanked his colleagues for the vote of confidence on him. The Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Celestine Isiekwe, supported the motion to pass a vote of confidence on Hon Innocent Esewezie, the chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Area. And the Leader of the House called for a voice vote, there was an overwhelm­ing support for the motion by the members. Meanwhile, the Oshimili North Legislative Arm in the exercise of its oversight functions, has visited the construction site of the ultramodern healthcare center in Okpanam for on the spot assessment and commended the contractor.

The Legislators were reviewed at the site by the site Engineer, Mathew Chibueze, of Luthermario construc­tion limited, who took them round to inspect the extent of work so far executed. Responding to questions from newsmen after the inspection, Hon. Chris Nwamgbor, the leader of the Legislative Arm, said their visit was to find out the extent of the work done by the contractor. He emphasized that they were satisfied with the pace and quality of work so far executed by the contractor.

He thanked the contractor for the quality job and on behalf of the House and the good people of Oshimili North, lauded the local government chairman, Hon. Innocent Esewezie for initiating the signature project.
