The Chairman of Oshimili South Local Government, Hon. Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, yesterday, signed the 2025 budget of the local government into law.
He said, during the signing, that it was a crucial step towards implementing the local government plans and projects for the year.
Speaking shortly after the signing of the 2025 budget, Hon. Ezenyili applauded members of legislative arm for ensuring that they gave the budget a speedy process, transparent and inclusiveness in realizing an effective budget.
He explained that the budget compromises of a total sum of N13.7bn, with the capital expenditure as N5.6bn, while the recurrent expenditure is N5.2bn.
“This budget runs through the period of the 2025 and I promise that everything captured in the budget we will attribute it to the glory of God.
“All things being equal as long as we have the financial capacity we will drive the process to the later and ensure that our people gets the best, that is why we are here .
“Thank you for the privilege to sign this budget and with this being a working document we can speed up the process of governance”, he declared.
