THE Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Vincent Oyibode, has tasked state government workers in the Udu local government Council on effective service delivery in achieving the MORE Agenda of the State Governor.
The Chairman gave this charge during a courtesy call by the state workers in Udu Local Government Council at his office in the Local Government secretariat, Otor-Udu, Delta State.
Oyibode urged the state workers to work closely with the local government council to ensure effective implementation of policies and programmes, especially those related to the MORE Agenda of the State Government.
Mrs. Diana Oluwole, a deputy director of Information and State Public Enlightenment Officer for Udu local government area, while speaking on behalf of other state government workers, assured the Chairman of their commitment to promoting policies and programmes at the local government level, ensuring objective and balanced reporting, and supporting the council’s efforts in developing the area.
The Chairman also urged the Community Development Department of the Women Affairs Ministry to work closely with the community in identifying their needs and proffering solutions.
In a related development, the Chairman praised the importance of journalists in societal development, acknowledging their vital role in fostering progress. He assured the information officers of his commitment to working together to achieve common goals.
The Chairman reiterated his dedication to transparency and development in collaborative spirit between the Udu Local Government Council and the media.
