The lawmaker representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Francis Waive, yesterday expressed concern over the death of Ijaw leader and elder statesman, Pa Edwin Clark.
Expressing grief over the demise of the renowned activist, the federal lawmaker pointed out the implications for the South-South geopolitical zone and Niger Delta Region.
Hon Waive, who spoke on the death of the elder statesman on the phone said, “Adieu Papa. My worry is, who will fill the vacuum that your demise has left behind in the South-South?
On what legacy Pa Clark left behind, Hon. Waive said, “Pa E.K Clark will be remembered for his courage, unwavering commitment to his people and excellent leadership’’.
He prayed to God to give the family he (Clark) left behind the grace to bear the loss and for his soul to rest in peace.
