AMIDST statements credited to the supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is ‘flopping and foreseeing defections’ ahead of 2027, the Integrity Group has dismissed such insinuation insisting that the party under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is waxing stronger by the day.
The Convener of Integrity Group of Delta State, Dr. Oke Idawene ,who reaffirmed the stability of PDP in Delta under Governor Oborevwori, in an interview with journalists in Asaba, described the APC media ‘boys’ as jesters who are day-dreaming, pointing out that the PDP family in Delta State are busy concentrating on governance and not perturbed about 2027 general elections.
On claims by the APC group that the PDP media ‘boys’ have lost focus on empty ‘Ukodo’, Idawene noted that it was needless reacting to the faceless group but only necessary to share few developmental strides of Oborevwori’s administration to set the records straight. According to him, Oborevwori’s achievements in the sixteen months has shown him as a leader with vision and compassion who came to power prepared for governance, adding that the governor has embarked on projects and programmes that have directly impacted on the lives of the entire citizens living in the state.
He challenged the APC ‘boys’ to visit Warri, Effurun flyover bridge, Kwale-Beneku bridge, Ode-Itsekiri road, Ogwuashi-Kwale road etc, to see ‘Ukodo’ in action saying; “Oborevwori administration will remain focused on delivery to Deltans the dividends of democracy.
