The Police Area Commander in charge of Ogwashi-Uku Command, ACP Akpan Daniel, has said protection of lives and properties will be more effective if needed information and cooperation are given to the police.
He made the remarks during his familiarization tour to police formations in Ogwashi-Uku Division in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
While saying that he will continue to work hard to ensure peace and protection of lives and properties in the Divisions under his watch, he called on residents to cooperate and give needed information to the police.
He charged the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the area to perform their duties without fear or favour, saying that they should shun actions that are capable of causing crises in their Divisions.
ACP Akpan said the business of security was not meant for the security agents alone but for all, hence residents have to work with the police to achieve better results.
The police boss called on residents of the areas to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement or persons to the police.
