THE Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Muhammed, has commended and rewarded two officers for their exceptional bravery and diligence in apprehending a notorious kidnap kingpin in the state.
According to the Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe Koko, the event took place at the Police Officers’ Mess, where the Commissioner honoured the Commander of the C4i Strike Force, Chief Superintendent (CSP) Julian Egbodo, and Inspector Blessing Uzi attached to the Agbali Police Division in Port Harcourt.
CSP Egbodo was recognized for his remarkable leadership in the arrest of the suspected kidnapper, which resulted in the recovery of 2 serviceable pistols and 30 rounds of ammunition. Inspector Uzi, on the other hand, was honoured for her exceptional diligence and intelligence, which led to the apprehension of the notorious kidnap kingpin, Idris Abdullahi.
The Commissioner noted that Inspector Uzi’s efforts not only dismantled a dangerous criminal operation but also resulted in the recovery of 2.5 million naira.
