‘’Let thanksgiving not just end today; always thank God. On that note, I encourage all of us to pay for the state government because the evil people who do not want Delta State to succeed are gathering every day to try to pull us down but with your prayers, we will succeed.

“I know very well that we will do MORE for our people as I know very well that no evil person from the pit of hell will drag us down as we have promised good things for Deltans’’ Governor Oborevwori said.

In his capacity as Speaker, Rt Hon Guwor said, “At the Delta State House of Assembly, all the 29 members are ready to give him (Oborevwori) the full support and I know very that he is going to succeed.

“I am grateful to the Governor for the appointment and of course to the very wonderful House of Assembly, who without their confirmation, I could not have beensworn in or resume the oDffice. For the show of love and for those that came to support me in this thanksgiving, I am grateful” he said.

Earlier in his homily titled, ‘’Remember it is God’’, the guest preacher, Bishop Kingsley Enakirheri, who took his readings from Deuteronomy 8:18 and Psalms 103:2, enjoined public officeholders to always remember God in their dealings and render help while in office.

“While I congratulate Dr Okorodudu on his appointment, we should continue to pray for our Governor to succeed because those who remember there is God, leave a legacy behind.”
