RESIDENTS of Koko community in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State have commended the efforts of the executives of the Koko Community Management Authority (KCMA) for the provision of solar street lights.
The commendation is a reaction to the ongoing installation of solar street lights project embarked upon by the community’s leadership led by Comrade David Oniyeburutan.
One of the community youths, Mr. TojuItse, who was enthusiastic about the project, described the move as a truly welcome development and thanked the KCMA executives for the initiative.
“We must commend the Koko Community Management Authority for this initiative. It is said that appreciation is an application for more,” he said.
Another resident, Mr. Danny Fresh Oris, described it as a good job but opined that they should have focused more on ensuring constant power supply in the community instead of solar street lights since the community was presently experiencing more than a month’s power outage.
“The leadership of the community under the aegis of KCMA should focus on facilitating increased power supply in the area instead of solar street lights, we need light in our various homes too, not only on the streets,” he maintained.
Others who spoke expressed satisfaction towards the gesture and asked for more developmental projects to be embarked by the Comrade Oneyiburutan-led exco.
