Foundation Awards Scholarship To 20 students In Delta

A Non-profit Organization, RETECH Foundation has awarded scholarship to Top 20 students in the Basic Education Certificate Examination in Delta State. The examination was conducted by the State’s Ministry of Education.

Presenting the scholarship to the students in the respective public schools in the State, the Chairman and Trustee, RETECH Foundation (RF), Engr Ronye Egborge, represented by its South-South Programme Manager, Mr Chinedu Ikemefuna said, the scholarship award was in recognition of the outstanding academic performance of the Top 20 students in the examination.

While disclosing that the scholarship to the Top 20 students was it’s second edition in Delta State, the first edition being in 2024, Engr Ronye Egborge said to the benefitting students: “Today, you join over 200 other scholars from across 28 states in Nigeria, who have been recipients of the RF’s scholarship award over the past six years.

” As our scholars, you have brought pride and honor to your parents/guardians, and to your school. You have earned for your school, our focus, and we look forward to introducing more of our programmes to your school today to improve the quality of education you receive”.

The Top 20 students cut across eight secondary schools from eight Local Government Areas of Burutu, Warri South-West, Uvwie, Ethiope East, Bomadi, Patani, Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East.

The scholarship award, which began at Ogbolumbiri Secondary School Burutu Local Government Area, witnessed three student beneficiaries; one at Agogboro Secondary School, Agogboro; two at Ohorhe Secondary School; four at Ojota Secondary School, Ojota and one at Esenaebe College, Bomadi.

Also, at Uduophori Secondary Grammer School, Uduophori, one student got the scholarship award and one at Aboh Secondary School, Aboh.

The scholarship award got to it’s climax at Utagba- Ogbe Grammar School, In Ndokwa West Local Government Area, featuring five best performing students in the Basic Secondary School Examination, and the first and second overall best in the State, from the School.
