IT was all joy and celebration galore as the Rotary Club of Asaba Capital City, under District 9141 donated five sets of computer gadgets each to Rilight Grace Nursery/Primary School Agbor and Amazing Grace International College Agbor, which was commissioned by the District Governor, Rtn Engr Emeke Utebor.
While commissioning the computer project, Utebor expressed gratitude to the president and members of the Rotary Club of Asaba for giving back to humanity. He noted that Rotarians were not the richest people in society, but they were kindhearted individuals in society.
He added that the donation of the computers would encourage learning and teaching. ‘’This will eliminate computer-phobia from the pupils/students and enable them to compete with their mates out there’’.
In a similar vein, the President of the Rotary Club of Asaba, Mary Eyagomary pleaded with the management of the schools to put the computers to use and ensure proper maintenance, as she promised them a subsequent inspection visit.
Responding, the proprietor of Rilight Grace School, Mrs Faith Adogho and Director of Amazing Grace International College, Lucky Morka expressed gratitude to God, Rtn. Emeke Utebor and Rotary Club of Asaba for their kindness.
They vowed to make good use of the computer gadgets and enforce its practice on their pupils and students. They maintained that the laptops would make their teaching easier as they could be easily moved around to teach their pupils and students.
