Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped again in the latest men’s ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) today.
The three-time African champions dropped from 38th to 39th position.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles plunged from 30th to 38th position in the FIFA ranking last month.
The West Africans however maintained fifth position in Africa despite their slide in the global ranking. The Atlas Lions of Morocco maintained top position in Africa followed by Senegal, Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire.
World champions Argentina, who also recently defended their Copa America title retained top position in the world.
France are second, with newly crowned European champions Spain in third position.
The Three Lions of England moved to fourth position after making it to the final at Euro 2024, while Brazil dropped to fifth.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published on September 19, 2024.
