The Pointer Fellowship Heralds Christmas With Thanksgiving

BY OZIOMA NIKE

IN thanksgiving on seeing another Yuletide, the Christian Fellowship of The Pointer Newspaper, has held a praise and worrship service at the organisation’s headquarters in Asaba, Delta State.

The occasion which was held, yesterday brought together staff and well-wishers in an atmosphere of joy, gratitude and unity.

Delivering the sermon, Pastor Sam David, shared an uplifting message on faith, prayer, and the power of divine grace. Citing Luke Chapter 5, Pastor Sam reflected on the story of Simon Peter, whose obedience to God’s word resulted in an extraordinary catch after initial failed attempts.

He remarked that true change is not by strength or power but by grace, while urging believers to seek divine guidance in times of need. He emphasised the importance of prayers, affirming that “When you speak to God, engage your heart, and He will answer you. Tell Him your desires, and He will turn your situation around.”

Also speaking, Deputy General Manager/HOD, Finance and Accounts, Mr. Emmanuel Okekpolo encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast, trusting in God’s guidance during challenging times. Sharing personal experiences, he assured attendees that God is “aware of our struggles and listens to our prayers.”

In a vote of thanks, Deputy Sports Editor, Mr. Moses Etu appreciated all for honouring the annual programme.
