A member of the Delta State Traditional Medicine Board, Chief Dr. Christopher Iwale has declared his continued disposition towards the welfare of the less privileged, linking the cause of the present economic crisis and Nigeria’s backwardness to selfishness.
Chief Iwale stated his position when he received a delegation of the Great Adaigbo Forum (Worldwide), led by their President, Chief Ambassador Linda Chukwudumebi Friday, during a visit to present a letter of nomination as a Grand Patron to Chief Iwale in his Palace.
Speaking to through his Personal Assistant, Mr. Davidson Chikezie Onwuakpa, he said that he had always supported ideas and steps to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.
While accepting his nomination as a grand patron, Chief Iwale thanked them for choosing him among several traditional doctors, pointing out that he is also patron to some other groups and had received awards for his humanitarian services.
Chief Iwale, who is the Odogwu of Abala Kingdom in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta State assured the women of his support and contributions towards the success of their programmes.
On the forthcoming National Day and Great Adaigbo Cultural Carnival in Abuja next year, 2025, the Odogwu promised to play his part as a grand patron and in appreciation of the recognition accorded him by the group.
He enjoined the women to remain committed to their proposed programmes and the course they have set out to this year and the years to come.
Earlier, the President of the Great Adaigbo Forum (worldwide), Chief Ambassador Linda Chukwudumebi Friday said they were at the Odogwu’ palace to formally inform him of his choice as one of their grand patrons.
She used the opportunity to seek for his support for the forthcoming Adaigbo Forum cultural carnival and national day to be held in Abuja next year.
