THE Ubulu-Uku Kingdom Descendants Central Union, the umbrella community development association for the community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, has elected a new executive council to run the association for the next four years.
The election took place during the national delegates conference attended by branches all over the country.
The elected officers are as follows: President-General, Mr. Peter Ugbaja; Vice President I, Pastor Dan Malachi Utomi; Vice President II, Comrade Pius Osemene; Secretary-General, Dr. Chiedu Osaji and Assistant Secretary-General, Mr. Henry Omefe.
Others are Treasurer, Mr. Henry Okwudishu; Financial Secretary, Hon. Fervency Ozulu Nwaka; National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Pius Mordi; Chief Provost, Mr. Chuks Udeh; Provost I, Ms. Joy Egwuenu and Provost II, Mr. Kenneth Nwaosi.
In his address after the swearing-in, the President General, Mr. Peter Ugbah, pledged to uphold the ancient throne of Ubulu-Uku kingdom with His Royal Majesty, Obi Chukwuka Noah Akaeze, as king as custodian of its customs and traditions.
They were sworn-in by Dr. Jonathan Monye, a lawyer and immediate past president-general of the association.
