The controversy surrounding the title of Onishe of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area has been decisively resolved, as the traditional ruler has provided definitive clarifications, putting the matter to rest.
Consequently, the traditional ruler of Ubulu-Uku, HRM Obi Chukwuka Akaeze has informed the public that Emma Ejiofor is not the authentic Onishe of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom.
In a statement issued to our reporter, the declaration comes after a thorough investigation, which revealed that Chief James Onwordi (Ibori Ubulu) is the genuine Onishe, conferred with the title on May 25, 2024, and certified by the Delta State Government under the Traditional Rulers, Council, Chiefs, and Laws of 2008.
Accordingly, the monarch’s disclaimer warns the public, particularly those who might have been misled by Ejiofor’s false claims, even as he urged the public to disregard Ejiofor’s claims and recognize Chief James Onwordi as the rightful Onishe of the Ubulu-Uku Kingdom.
This development is seen as a significant step towards maintaining peace and order in the kingdom and upholding the integrity of traditional institutions.
