AS the people of Ubulu-Unor community prepare for the celebration of this year’s annual Inne festival, sons, daughters and friends of the community have been told to donate generously towards the course.
The annual Inne festival is celebrated by the people of Ubulu-Unor as a thanks giving to the Creator for guiding them successfully throughout this year farming season
It is also a way of showing gratitude to the Almighty for blessing the farmers with bounties harvest
The festival normally witness special handshake between the Obi of the community and his Idime chieftaincy title holders, cultural dances of various kind, merriments and feasting. It is also a period offered to youths of Ubulu-Unor to recognize some of the societal ills bedeviling the community and correct them by pointing them out using songs and dances.
In a statement jointly signed by Mr Patrick Ashibuogwu and Mr. Martin Okoata, the Inne festival is scheduled to commence on the 26th of this month and would be rounded off on the 1st of November
According to the statement, the previous year festival witnessed new innovations part of which was the live streaming of the event, making it possible for all sons and daughters of the community within and outside to participate in it
The statement adds that this year festival will bring further new innovations, entertainment, music performances among others.
They therefore called on the people of Ubulu-Unor to support the organization of the event financially and in kind.
