… Confers Awards of Excellence On Oborevwori, Okorodudu
The Executive Director Projects, (EDP), Delta State Oil Producing Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu has called on all members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ughelli South and Delta State at large to be united to give the Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and the Party the highest votes come 2027.
He made this clarion call while addressing members of the Ughievwien Democratic Assembly, UDA, PDP stakeholders and faithful who hosted him to a grand reception today March 1st, 2025 at Otu – Jeremi, the Headquarters of Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Dr. Okorodudu said Ughelli South should take it’s rightful place in the PDP by giving the highest votes to the Governor and the party come 2027 and urged members for Unity of purpose across board, noting that those who faltered should retrace their steps in other to achieve the objectives.
“The Governor is doing very well and has surpassed expectations within one year and some Months. His achievements are unprecedented in this short period into his administration. This has qualified him for continuity, come 2027.
Therefore, there must be unity of purpose across board to make sure that Ughelli South gives him the highest votes in the next general election, come 2027,” he added.
Speaking further, he said the Governor is a prudent manager of both human and natural resources, and that the Empowerment programs and infrastructural development of the M.O.R.E Agenda of the Governor that cut across every nooks and cranny of the State was a testament to that effect.
He commended the Ughievwien Democratic Assembly, UDA, for the honor done him, by according him with a befitting reception and votes of confidence.
An Award of Excellence was bestowed on him and the Governor of Delta State, urging them to be focus on the task ahead of delivering the Governor for second term, come 2027.
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Prof. G. G. Darah, who was represented by D.D.J Foghi, had welcomed and commended the EDP for his style of leadership and thanked His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for finding him worthy of appointment as Executive Director Projects, EDP, on the Board board of DESOPADEC.
Also in his address, the Chairman of the Ughievwien Democratic Assembly, UDA, stated that UDA is a political pressure group of the Ughievwien extraction, based in Ughelli South Local Government Area, advocating for fairness, equity and justice in Ughelli South and Delta State.
“We congratulated Olorogun Ebenezer Okorodudu, on his appointment by His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State into the Board of DESOPADEC. UDA also thanked the Governor for his massive infrastructural development in Delta State,” he stated.
Speaking further, he said the UDA will continue to stand behind the Governor and Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, come 2027 and urged the EDP to carry along the interest of Ughievwien people.
“Ughievwien occupies a first position in the development of Nigeria, Delta State and Ughelli South in particular, been host to the biggest gas plant, phase 1, phase 11 in black Africa , particularly referred to as Otorogu gas plant,” he
stated.
While commending the EDP, the host, Olorogun Adogbeji Ideh urged all Sons and Daughters of Ughievwien and Ughelli South in general to stand behind the Governor and Dr. Okorodudu, saying that he has distinguished himself in all his appointments over the years and deserved collaboration to do more.
While giving votes of thanks Hon. Jacob Tone, commended the EDP for his contribution to the development of Ughelli South and thank all those who find time to grace the reception.
The highlight of the occasion was the votes of confidence pass on His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, and Award of Excellence, presented to him and the EDP, Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu
