THE Chairman, Ughelli North North Local Government Area, Hon. Jaro Egbo has sworn-in councillors, with a charge to them to be good ambassadors of the Peoples Democratic Party and the people.
The ceremony, which took place at the local government Secretariat Hall, had in attendance the 20 elected Councilors and their well-wishers, party Leaders and party faithful among others.
The Chairman, while speaking during the inauguration ceremony, officially congratulated the 20 elected Councilors on their victory at the Council polls, said, victory can only come from God alone, therefore all glory should be ascribed to God alone.
He admonished the Councilors to be upright and always be dedicated to the mandate given to them by the people.
In addition, he admonished them never to betray the trust and confidence reposed in them, shun pride, greed and selfishness.
He also charged them to be good Ambassadors of the party in their various wards, by enforcing the MORE AGENDA of the Governor, Rt. Hon Sherif Oborevwori in their various wards.
Highpoint of the event was the signing of Oath of Allegiance form by the 20 Councillors.
This was followed by the formal Inauguration of the 8th Assembly of Ughelli North Legislative Arm, as Rt. Hon Ajero Okeoghene emerged the Leader, Rt Hon Ediruo Florence (Deputy Leader), Hon Ese Simon Agbobore (Majority Leader), Hon Orido December (Deputy Majority Leader), among other principal officers.
