“In the face of the current economic challenges, your compassion has reminded us all of the true spirit of the Yuletide season,” he added, urging beneficiaries to keep the Queen and the Royal Family in their prayers for continued blessings. In her address, Queen Ezeagwu expressed her appreciation for the community’s support and explained that the food distribution is part of a broader family initiative aimed at caring for widows and individuals with disabilities. She conveyed her deep gratitude to God for the blessings bestowed upon her family, reiterating her commitment to giving back to the community.

“This gesture is rooted in my desire to bring relief and joy to those grappling with the harsh realities of our economy,” she said, emphasising that the initiative aims to ensure families can celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities with dignity and ease.

Meanwhile, the Obi of Umunede Kingdom, HRM Dr. Ezeagwu Ezewali JP, praised his wife’s philanthropic efforts, expressing his joy and gratitude for the blessings upon their family and subjects. “By God’s grace, our Royal Family will continue to replicate this gesture annually, for when my people are happy, I too am happy,” he affirmed.
