Uviejitebor Promises To Strengthen Petroleum Industry In Delta

Delta State Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Chief Peter Uviejitebor, has pledged to sustain and enhance the ministry’s achievements.

Chief Uviejitebor made this pledge during an interaction with journalists at his office in Asaba. Reflecting on his initial period in office, the commissioner noted that after thoroughly familiarizing himself with the ministry’s operations, he was impressed by the progress made under his predecessor’s leadership.

He affirmed that he has already aligned with these successes and is determined to build on them, citing the strong support from the Permanent Secretary, Directors, Deputy Directors, and staff of the ministry as a solid foundation for further advancements.

In addition to his plans for the ministry, Chief Uviejitebor, who is also a former lawmaker representing Udu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, praised the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the significant development in the state.

He further highlighted the achievements of the Oborevwori administration, particularly in infrastructure and healthcare.

“Several road projects have been commissioned within a short timeframe.

When you go to the medical sector, enough budget is placed there, and a lot of medical facilities are in place, which is an indication that this government is better. The former governor did very well, but this present governor is doing better,” he added.
