The Forum of Presidents of the 32 traditional Udu communities in Udu Kingdom, Udu local government area of Delta state has extended heart-felt birthday wishes to the Executive Chairman of the council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode on his birthday celebration, reaffirming support for his administration having been a man of peace and tremendous impact in the past seven months he has been in office.
In a statement signed on behalf of the Forum of Community Presidents led by Engr Godspower Uviejitobor, President of Orhuwhorun and Chairman of the Forum and Pastor Great Oghenenyerhovwo Nyekigbe, President of Ujevwu and Secretary of the Forum, the group emphasizes that Olorogun Vincent Oyibode, who goes by the sobriquet of ‘’Ofuerhanre’’, or ‘’Fire Extinguisher’’, has lived up to his name by bringing peace to many troubled spots in Udu by resolving many communities’ crisis that have lingered on for many years.
‘’As we join all his admirers across the state and beyond in celebrating this ever-dependable, diligent, and dedicated icon, we must acknowledge that we are proud of his exceptional achievements in past few months he has been in office. He is a study in patriotism, leadership and courage, leading Udu on the path of greatness and invaluable exploits ranging from peace building, infrastructural development, human capital development, socio-economic stability and environmental cleanliness amongst others’’, the statement said.
The Community President’s Forum affirms that Chief Vincent Oyibode’s influence has continued to resonate beyond Udu because of his exceptional commitment to truth, fairplay, rule of law and unquenchable passion to build Udu into an Eldorado.
‘’Ofuerhanre, on this occasion of your 50th birthday, we celebrate you as an accomplished leader with a sterling reputation in statesmanship and a peacemaker in Udu and beyond. You are a bold and courageous leader with the prospect of growth and greater attainments as you continue to impact Udu and your people. Your incredible heart of gold has continued to promote oneness and harmony in all of Udu. Your peace and mediation role in all of Udu communities is a clear testament of your love for peace and stability among your people.” The statement added, stressing that Oyibode was an unstoppable achiever and unifier .
The 32 Udu Traditional Communities that endorsed the message include Otor-Udu, Owhrode, Erhiephihor, Ovworhokpokpor, Oghior, Ogbe-Udu, Ukpiovwin, Okolor-Waterside, and Okolor Inland. Others are Ubogo, Ugbisi, Obubu, Emadadja, Ekrota, Ukperheren, Egini, Ujevwu, Egiegi, Oleri, Orhuwhorun, Igbogidi, Okpaka, Opete and Enerhen communities. The rest are Owhase, Ekete Inland, Ekete Waterside, Ovwian, Aladja, Ayama, Epame and Ikperha communities.
