THE Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Comrade Weyinmi Agbateyiniro, has swung into action by embarking on visit to various markets.
On assumption of office, he went on a tour and on-the-spot assessment of all the major markets in the area as part of his campaign promises.
Agbateyiniro’s first port of call was the popular Igbudu market, where a fire incident occurred earlier this month and assured the traders of his commitment and support to the affected traders.
He also visited Ugbuwangue Market, Okere; Main market, Mciver market, Bolokor Market, Ubeji Market and Pessu Market, to familiarize himself with the state of the markets and also informed traders that he would meet with market executives to familiarize and discuss on how to improve their conditions.
The Head of Personnel Management (HPM) of Warri South Local Government Area, Mr. Austin Akaeze had earlier in the day, handed over “assets and liabilities” of the council to the new chairman, who was accompanied by the vice chairman, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, as well as Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, chairman of Warri South Political Associates, among others.
