Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, has said that the State Police Command is still waiting for the result of the autopsy carried out on late Shimite Love, who died under controversial circumstances in Asaba.
Recall that Shimite Love, the former Special Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Trade and Exports died on Monday under controversial circumstances as the Delta State Police Command said it was giving protective custody to the husband to save him from harm that may come from the people who may be nursing belief that Love was killed by her husband as a result domestic violence.
It was gathered that citizens of the State are anxious to know the cause of Shimite Love, who was popularly known as Mama Sabificate.
“We just want justice for the deceased”, a source told newsmen in Asaba.
Through her office and lectures over the years, Love had raised thousands of entrepreneurs, especially youths and women whom she helped to build their families, contributing to the socio-economic growth of Delta State’s communities.
Giving an update on the incident, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer said, “We are still investigating and autopsy must definitely be carried out. It even takes a month for the result to come out.”
While promising to give more updates once the autopsy result is out, Edafe noted that the Police would definitely update the public about the case.
