THE Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu has sent a congratulatory message to all 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 corps members across the country on their Passing Out Parade (PoP).
In a social media post recently shared by the Scheme, Nafiu praised the outgoing corps members, urging them to be worthy ambassadors.
He reassured them of the Scheme’s confidence in their ability to excel beyond their national service.
“Congratulations to the Passing-Out 2024 Batch A Stream 2 Corps Members. As you embark on a new journey, know that the Scheme believes in your potential to shine. Go forth and be our worthy brand ambassadors,” the post read.
Similarly, the NYSC Delta State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr John Vandi T. Kwaghe, commended corps members for their commitment, perseverance, and hard work throughout their year of service.
He emphasised that the experience gained during the one-year national service had equipped them with valuable skills and exposure necessary for their future endeavours.
“I urge you to remain hopeful and embrace the future with confidence. The skills and experiences you have gained during your service year will serve as stepping stones to greater opportunities.
The nation looks up to you as leaders of tomorrow,” Kwaghe said.
At the Passing-Out events, corps members eagerly received their Certificates of National Service (CNS). In Delta State, a total of 2,346 corps members were officially discharged, marking the completion of their national service.
In recognition of outstanding performance, 10 corps members were honoured with the State Coordinator’s Certificate of Commendation for their exceptional contributions to their Places of Primary Assignment (PPA) and Community Development Service (CDS) projects.
Conversely, 14 corps members faced service extensions due to various infractions, while 61 others were declared absconders and mandated to repeat their service year.
The Batch ‘A’ Stream2 corps members were mobilised in March 2024 and held their Passing-Out Parade on Wednesday, 27 March 2025, across the six geopolitical zones.
