THE leader of Ndokwa West 8th Assembly, Hon. Sandra Enukegu has asserted that the current members of the legislative arm of the local government council would enact progressive laws to impact on the lives of the people.
Enukegu, who is the first female leader of Ndokwa West Legislature, said she has a formidable team capable of creating the enabling atmosphere for total transformation of all sectors of the people’s lives.
In a chat with The Pointer, the Ogume Councilor explained that 100 days of legislative business was too short for adequate assessment of their performance, adding that although councillors are saddled with the task of law-making, they would in addition, attract projects to develop their constituencies.
She said that with mutual understanding and working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the local government council, it would be easy to create Constituency projects.
“I want to inform you that we, the Ndokwa West councillors, enjoy a cordial working relationship and mutual understanding with the executive arm.”
While requesting the indigenes to support the present administrations of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and council chairman, Chief Obi Nzete, Enukegu recalled that the Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area has surprised critics through excellent performance during his first tenure in office.
She remarked that the 8th Assembly of the Local Government would not leave anything undone in partnership with the executive arm towards developing various communities within the local government area. She solicited co-operation and support from the indigenes and other residents, especially the career civil servants to promote and sustain the existing synergy between the two arms of government, noting that it would form the basis for the desired development in Ndokwa West.
