Why I Donate Books To Schools, Engage In Philanthropic Activities –Okah

A philanthropist, High Chief Goodluck Okah, has said that life is about appreciating God by giving back to the society.

Okah, disclosed this, while speaking recently to journalists that through his Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Goodluck I. E. Okah Foundation, he has donated a lot of books to schools in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State in particular and schools in other parts of the country.

Okah, who is the Otunba Tayese 1 of Kayetoro Land, Ibeju- Lekki, Lagos State, is from EwhisigbaIyede in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

He stated that he is passionate about educating the youths because, proper education of youths prepare them for better future.

“Proper education is the best foundation that we can give to our youths,” he said, adding that apart from donation of books and assisting the youths to get quality education, his Foundation also engages in assisting the less privileged, the needy, elders in the society, among others.

“The essence of life is charity, you do not need to be extraordinarily wealthy before you give back to the society, render assistance to those in need.

“I am a businessman, a politician and a phylantropist, and I derive joy in putting smiles on the faces of people.

“Our society will be better if we assist one another,” he said.

He continued, “through my Foundation, the Goodluck I. E. Okah Foundation, I reach out to the less privileged, I support the needy, students at all levels of education, lend helping hands to widows, empower small market women and also liaise with government at all levels to empower our youths in the area of skill acquisition programs.”

Okah called on well-meaning Nigerians to make the country better by contributing to the growth of the society.
