THE Executive Director of Eye On The Future Initiative (EFI), Delta State based NGO, Comrade Josephine Omodior has said that she set up her NGO to develop lasting solutions to educational, environmental health, gender, human rights challenges and achieve good Governance.
Speaking to newsmen at the weekend in Asaba, the EFI Director said that her NGO is determined to join forces with others to address social vices in the society.
The Executive Director of EFI said that she has passion for the rights of the people and issues affecting them on a daily basis, adding that she is poised to use her NGO to eradicate some of the ills and make the society a better place for all.
The EFI boss who is also the Assistant Secretary of the Delta State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), said that; “Am out with my team to partner with other NGOs , government at all levels, relevant agencies, social organizations, the media and others to address squarely some issues we are confronted with in our changing world where so many things are going wrong”.
Responding to a question, the Executive Director of EFI said that; we are out to advocate for what is right. Our children will no longer be denied of their right to education, health and other social amenities.
She added that; “We are out to fight for freedom and equality and I am going to use my NGO as a platform to continue to advocate for human rights. We are going to do everything possible to support women empowerment because our women are passing through a lot these days”.
“We are not going to tolerate child abuse either. We are certainly going to collaborate with relevant authorities to confront these challenges. We are going to encourage mothers to always be there for their children in order for us to have a peaceful society”, she said.
According to her also; “Government at all levels must be up and doing. Conflicts must be resolved and people should be encouraged to live in peace and harmony because at the end of the day, we are one big family and so we must live together as one”.
