The newly elected Chairmen and Councillors in the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta State have been advised to be committed and work in tandem to actualize positive results in the MORE Agenda of the current Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
The former elected Councillors Forum Delta State Chapter, led by the Chairman, Hon. Clement Olojoba and the Secretary, Hon. Shadrack Opia gave the advice during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected chairmen and councillors held at the Event Centre, Asaba.
Hon. Olojoba, while commending the Oborevwori – led administration for the successful conduct of the local government election and which he described as the fresest and fairest in the state, urged them to evolve positive work plans that would tackle the high rate of insecurity and poverty situation at the grassroot level. He said the successful conduct of the LG election is a clear indication of the majurity and preparedness of the current administration to handle elections now and in future.
According to him, the Oborevwori MORE Agenda is the responsibility of all Deltans as it is aimed at giving the state a facelift in all ramifications
